Culture Alignment Workshop

The Culture Alignment Workshop is a 1day session with employees that highlights the importance of aligning the organization’s culture, purpose, strategy and goals to achieve results.  It also teaches them how to develop accountability to ensure that the experiences they create are tied to those results.

Overview

In this workshop, participants will connect to The Results Equation™ and identify the cultural shifts that need to occur to achieve their R2 results, learn the Steps to Accountability® model, what Below the Line® and Above the Line® behavior looks like, and how accountability can accelerate their culture change.

Then they will learn Culture Partners Culture Management Tools to operationalize their culture shift and make it a more focused part of their people’s regular responsibilities.

Before the Workshop

Culture Partners will help you prepare for your Culture Alignment organizational strategy, ensuring that leaders and other teams are prepared to align around desired cultural shifts.

Culture Alignment Workshop Preparation

Typically, the Culture Alignment is scheduled between 30-45 days after The Rulture Equation Workshop.  In the weeks leading up to the Culture Alignment Workshop, Culture Partners will work with senior leaders and the Culture Lead, to:

  • Create a kick-off strategy and roll-out plan to introduce Culture Alignment Workshops for employees at the organization
  • Reinforce core principles learned in The Results Equation Workshop through Integration meetings
  • Build a clear plan for post-workshop communications and activities

During the Workshop

The workshop focuses on the following key areas:

Creating a Results-Driven Culture the organization’s Results Equation is introduced, leading to a discussion of the importance of alignment between strategy, purpose, culture, and results.  The Results Pyramid® is also introduced, which uncovers the link between how someone’s experiences shape their beliefs and actions, and ultimately, their results.

Shifting Your Cultural Beliefs® current cultural beliefs (“C1”) are inventoried in an interactive exercise, and grouped together to identify the cultural shifts that the organization needs to make to achieve the desired culture (“C2”). The workshop helps participants understand how newly identified C2 shifts are aligned with those identified in The Results Equation Workshop and encompassed in their Cultural Beliefs.

Accelerating Change with Greater Accountability – accountability is a critical component to creating the cultural change that’s required inside the organization.  The workshop helps participants reframe their view of accountability (and what it means to be accountable for results) and includes an in-depth application of “Above the Line” and “Below the Line” behaviors.

Activating Culture with Focused Tools the workshop introduces three culture management tools – Focused Feedback®, Focused Storytelling®, and Focused Recognition® – all intended to help create ways to not only drive accountability but also intentionally tie actions to results and cultural beliefs. This helps to reinforce both the act of seeking feedback and providing recognition, and also creates a broader understanding of what living the organization’s Cultural Beliefs looks like.

Learning to Operationalize the Process – an integration plan is critical to successfully implementing the principles taught in the workshop. Using tools from the workshop gives participants a chance to put into practice the methodologies and further strengthen their meetings and interactions with their colleagues.

After the Workshop

After the Culture Alignment Workshop, the organization should focus on reinforcing and integrating Cultural Beliefs and culture management tools into daily behaviors and processes. The resources below will empower workshop participants and leaders to ignite your culture and help drive meaningful results.

  1. Explore foundational culture models, tools, and key concepts in the Post-Workshop Resource Center.
  2. Integration meetings and huddle kits provide great reinforcement for leaders and their teams to ensure that proper habits are formed.
